Privacy and cookies
This page explains what information is collected when you use jamesdhealth.com, why, and the choices you have. It is written to be read in a couple of minutes.
Who is responsible
This website is run by James D Health Limited, the company through which James Davies works as an osteopath and performance coach. James D Health Limited is the data controller for information collected through this site. If you have any question about your information, email [email protected].
What we collect
When you send an enquiry. The contact form asks for your name, email address, optional phone number, what the enquiry is for and your message. This is used only to reply to you and arrange any work you ask about.
When you email or message us. We keep the conversation so we can reply and follow up.
When you browse the site. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working.
Please do not include detailed medical information in the contact form. If you become a client, any health records are handled separately and explained to you before your first session.
Why we use it
We reply to enquiries because you have asked us to, and we keep server logs and protect the site because we have a legitimate interest in running it safely. We only use analytics if you agree to it. We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who handles it for us
- Cloudflare hosts the website and, if you accept, provides privacy-friendly visitor analytics.
- FormSubmit passes contact form messages to our inbox.
- Google Workspace provides our email.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or equivalent protections.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and then for up to two years, unless you become a client, in which case we keep records for as long as professional and legal rules require. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period only.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or marketing tags. Fonts are hosted on this website, so nothing is requested from Google when you view a page.
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics. Nothing optional loads until you press Accept. If you press Reject, no analytics script is loaded at all.
If you accept, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It does not set cookies, does not build a profile of you and does not follow you to other websites.
Your choice is saved in your browser for 12 months so we do not ask on every page. This is strictly necessary and is not used for tracking. You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings, or clear stored site data in your browser settings.
Links to other sites
This site links to Instagram, LinkedIn, IMDb, Amazon, Rising Health and Body in 10. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and nothing from them loads here unless you click the link.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, object to how it is used, or ask us to stop contacting you. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If anything changes, for example a new tool is added to the site, this page will be updated first.
